We had the first of the lectures in the ‘Health Care’ series this week, by Søren Holm. Søren discussed the place of partiality in health care (e.g. when doctors advocate for and treat just their patients and not others), which is often considered acceptable within limits. He then considered how care ethics might provide support for this view, arguing that while this is certainly one way to do so, it is not the only way and perhaps not the best, where he offered other options. The slides for the talk are available here.
